
Cory Estes
Cory Estes has worked in the health care and diagnostics industry for over 20 years, the last 13 years in Director and Executive level roles. He has led innovation, development, production, and service teams and contributed to the development of several innovative diagnostic systems for improving detection and identification of pathogens in laboratory and point of care settings including the BioFire FilmArray.
Mr. Estes holds a MS and BS Degrees in Electrical Engineering. His experience includes electrical, optical, and mechanical design, firmware and software development, project management, process innovation and development, manufacturing, quality system management and the assembling and managing of large engineering teams.
In his most recent positions, Mr. Estes worked as Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Xenter – a startup for novel and innovative PCI technologies, contributing to feasibility design and prototype manufacturing. At ASI as Chief Technology Officer he was responsible for all IT, development, qualifying, and field servicing of an automated analyzer used in blood and tissue donor industries. Before taking on this role, he was at BioFire Diagnostics for 14 years, where he held many roles leading research, development, and production of the BioFire FilmArray. His most recent efforts with BioFire were as the Director of Engineering for Innovation where he oversaw the innovation team charged with automating production of the FilmArray Pouch.
